As a non-profit organization, I Stand With My Pack relies on the generosity and support of our community to keep saving dogs and finding them their forever homes, and Gnarwhal Coffee has become one of our strongest supporters!
For the second year in a row, Gnarwhal Coffee has chosen ISWMP as its Gnarwhal Community Foundation organization of choice. (Please check out gnarwhalcoffee.com to learn all about this program!) They are matching all tips received in-store and donating them to ISWMP at the end of the quarter, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
This past Saturday, March 4th, we had the amazing opportunity to hold a “Coffee With K9’s” event at Gnarwhal Coffee’s location in Santa Monica. Adoptable dogs and their fosters gathered, along with the ISWMP Team, to meet and mingle with the Saturday morning customers and enjoy some delicious drinks provided by Gnarwhal staff.
Not only did this event allow our dogs to be seen by potential adopters, but it also provided an excellent opportunity for us to learn more about our pups. We were able to see them in a busy social setting around other dogs and even children.
We learned that Rowena is a true “people-person” who loves to be the center of attention and poses for pictures like the supermodel she is. Rowena is looking for affection and gladly doles out love and kisses to anyone who wants them. On Saturday she was great with every dog, kid, and adult that she met.
Sweet Badger started off a bit overwhelmed by all of the activity, but quickly relaxed in his loving foster’s arms. He took in the sights and sounds and graciously accepted love and pets from interested adopters. Badger is a gentle, dog-social pup who did very well in public considering his initial hesitance!
Effie made the most of her morning out and charmed everyone who met her. She solicited pets, gave kisses, and even gave hugs to a few lucky people. Effie was tolerant of the pups around her and definitely wanted to play with most of them. She is a young, healthy, active Bulldog gal!
We call Jack a “Labrador Retriever in a Husky body” and he once again proved what a good boy he is at this event. Jack was respectful of all of the pups, big and little, and soaked up the love and attention from humans of all ages. Jack is so ready to find his forever home and will make an amazing addition to his lucky family.
Along with our adoptable pups, we also had a number of ISWMP Alumni drop by to say hello. It was a real treat to see Chicken, Skippy, Delilah, and others living happy lives with their loving families. It made us even more excited to find forever families for our adoptable pups who are still looking.
