Meet Max!
Max is a stunning blue merle Australian Shepherd, and is the perfect mix of smarts, sweetness, and playful energy. This handsome, loyal gentleman loves being close to his people. He’s house-trained, knows basic commands, and listens well—especially when there’s a treat or some praise involved! As a working breed, Max is eager to learn and would thrive with continued training and enrichment. Rare for Aussies, Max is not hyper or high-strung. His energy level is a manageable medium, making him a great companion for walks, games of fetch, and cozy evenings by your side.
He’s non-reactive and friendly with other dogs, making him a great fit for homes with social lifestyles and/or other canine companions. Max is also good with kids, and while he’s not currently 100% reliable with cats (sometimes calm, sometimes tempted to herd or chase), that’s pretty typical for an Aussie. With the right guidance, he could potentially learn to coexist peacefully—or would be just as happy in a feline-free home.
Max is still working on his leash manners (he gets excited and pulls), but with his smarts and eagerness to please, he should be a quick learner. With a little patience and training, this boy could truly become your dream dog. Max is ready to be your loyal sidekick and adventure buddy…now all he needs is a forever family to love him just as much as he’ll love them!
