Meet Bella!
Bella is a 2-year-old petite Australian Shepherd with a beautiful Red Merle coat, and one blue eye and one brown eye. She came to us after being dumped out of a moving vehicle in the Downey shelter parking lot. It’s a strange thing to imagine, because it seems Bella was very loved in her previous life. She is healthy and socialized and adores everyone she meets.
Bella is a happy, playful, and affectionate young girl who is quickly adjusting to life as a true family companion. True to her breed, she thrives on activity and purpose — she likes engaging with games, and any kind of stimulation that challenges her sharp mind. She is eager to learn, and responds beautifully to training. She is wonderful with children and other dogs, and would thrive with an active adopter or family who will include her in their adventures.
Bella’s ideal forever home is one that understands the needs of a young working breed, and who can be committed to giving her the time, exercise, and enrichment she needs. In return, Bella will offer boundless loyalty, joy, and affection. She is incredibly snuggly and loving and will even let you hold her like a baby for cuddles. She LIVES for belly rubs.
